Defining CENTRAL EUROPE, Annual Conference 2013, Padua (Italy)

The event will link the thematic capitalisation of the results achieved by projects in the current programme with a collection of inputs for planning the next programming period.

"Defining the Sustainability of CENTRAL EUROPE 2007-2013" will be the theme of the first day. The opening keynote will draw the attention on the cooperation within and beyond the programme and it will be followed by thematic workshops focusing on the sustainable results achieved so far. In the evening, the "Film Reel CENTRAL EUROPE" awards will take place at the occasion of the networking reception.

The second day of the event will be centered around the topic "Defining the Shape of CENTRAL EUROPE 2014-2020". After the initial remarks on the thematic priorities for the next programme, a keynote speech on EU cohesion policy for 2014-2020 will address the importance of thematically focusing transnational cooperation in central Europe. A panel discussion on the possibilities for change in the transnational cooperation in the area will then follow with speakers from the European Commission, the Committee of the Regions and the European Investment Bank. The closing workshops will deal with innovation, energy, environment and transport.
